Quest Reborn Getting Started in Dungeon Quest

Leave the starter wand behind without wasting your first bag of gold.

Getting Started

Dungeon Quest drops you into a lobby with a sword, a wand, Fireball, and Taunt. The game is already live on Roblox and expects you to invite friends. This first-hour guide is the on-ramp for every other Quest Reborn page, from Controls to Abyssal Void.

You do not need codes. You need a party, a difficulty you can finish, and a single damage stat.

First decisions in the lobby

Use the wand if you want range. Use the sword if you want to learn melee spacing. Both work in Desert Temple. Click Start in the lower right, then join an open lobby or create your own. Online co-op is the intended pace; a four-player clear is safer than a pride solo.

Turn on Hardcore mode if you can finish the map on one life. Hardcore doubles the item roll. If you are still learning dodge windows, stay on a normal life count for two clears, then switch. Wiping a Hardcore run with a full bag feels worse than a slow Normal chest.

Difficulty names matter. Early maps offer Easy through Nightmare. Later maps often start at Insane. Play the highest difficulty you can clear, not the one that looks impressive in the list. The dungeon checker will keep you honest as your level climbs.

Spend skill points like a grown-up

Each level gives points. Physical raises sword and warrior ability damage. Spell Power raises mage damage and every heal. Stamina raises hit points. Pick a lane:

  • Warrior — stack Physical, keep a thin stamina cushion. Follow the Warrior build.
  • Mage — stack Spell Power. Heals scale here too. Follow the Mage build.
  • Tank / Healer — more stamina and guardian armor, plus Taunt or a real heal. These roles need a group that understands them.

A 50/50 hybrid feels flexible and then stalls in Pirate Island. The Skill Points page and the skill planner exist so you do not learn that the hard way.

Gold, vendors, and upgrades

After a clear, walk toward the docks. The NPC on the right path buys junk. The blacksmith near spawn upgrades unequipped gear. Unequip first or the bench will ignore you.

Upgrade the piece you will take into the next lobby, not every blue that dropped. Commons and uncommons are gold. Rares and epics are stepping stones. Legendaries wait for Nightmare — see How to get legendaries.

Game passes are optional. Extra Item is the one that changes the loop. 2x gold is comfort. Freestyle resets are easy to skip. How to level fast ranks those purchases after you have a week of play.

Two lobbies, one market

Lobby 1 is for everyone. Lobby 2 opens around level 100 and becomes the trade floor. Do not trade in your first hour. When you get there, How to trade covers Show Players, inspect, unequip, and the five-second cancel. People will lowball a new 100. Let them.

A clean first session

  1. Join the official group so daily rewards work.
  2. Equip wand or sword and Fireball.
  3. Create a Hardcore lobby if you can finish, otherwise a normal one.
  4. Clear Desert Temple with a party. Dodge, do not face-tank.
  5. Vendor junk, upgrade one item, assign points to one damage stat.
  6. Repeat on a harder setting or move to Winter Outpost when the checker says so.

If you die to mechanics more than to health, open Controls and turn on Shift Lock. If you live easily, push difficulty before you push a new map. Power comes from Nightmare loot, not from sightseeing every biome on Easy.

When Northern Lands appears on your list, you are no longer a beginner. Use that walkthrough for Odin and the first Ultimate chase. Until then, this page plus the Guides Hub is enough.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Should I start as Warrior or Mage?

Either works. Stack Physical or Spell Power, not both. Read the matching build page before you respec.

Is Hardcore required on day one?

No. Use it when you can finish on one life. The extra item is wasted if you wipe at the boss.

Where do I sell and upgrade?

Sell at the dock NPC to the right. Upgrade at the spawn blacksmith after you unequip the piece.

Do I need codes to start?

No. Codes are inactive. Claim dailies and run the first maps with a party.
