Events Guide

Dungeon Quest runs occasional in-game events that boost drops, add cosmetics, or introduce limited-time mechanics. This page tracks every known event, what it offered, and what you should know if one returns. Events are announced on the official links page — group wall, Discord, and @DungeonQuestRB.

Check the Updates Hub for the latest status. If a new event drops, this page will update.

How events work

Events appear in the lobby as a timer, a special NPC, or a modified shop. Most run for 3–7 days. Rewards are either permanent items added to your inventory or limited cosmetics that only drop during the event window. Some events double existing mechanics (like Gregg materials), while others introduce new currencies or bosses.

Events do not change the Weapons tier list or Armor tier list. Power comes from rarity and pot, not from event hats.

Known events

2x Gregg Materials

  • Date: 3 July 2024 – 8 July 2024
  • Effect: Double crafting materials from every Gregg kill.
  • Why it matters: The Champion and Oracle craft ladder needs 605 total materials. A 2x event cuts the farm roughly in half. Read the Crafting Materials page for the full breakdown.
  • Tip: Stock up during 2x events. Even if you are not ready for Tier 4, the materials do not expire.

Mechanical Menace

  • Type: Boss event with a consumable shop.
  • Shop contents: All potion types, gold packs, Gregg’s Bounties, and the first-ever abilities obtained from an event shop.
  • Why it matters: Event abilities can be strong. If the event returns, check the Abilities tier list before buying.

Cosmetic shop rotations

  • Frequency: Ongoing. The lobby shop rotates hats, armor skins, and other cosmetics.
  • Do cosmetics affect power? No. They are visual only. A hat does not change your damage, health, or drop rate.
  • Where to track: The experience page on Roblox shows the current rotation. Latest update notes covers the habit.

Abyssal Voyage

  • Date: Launched with Abyssal Void (11 October 2024). Closed as of 2026.
  • Effect: Voidshards dropped during the event. No longer farmable.
  • Why it matters: If you see Voidshards mentioned in a guide, that content is outdated. The Abyssal Void update page has the dated notes.

What to do between events

  1. Run the highest Nightmare you can finish.
  2. Farm Gregg materials for the Champion or Oracle ladder.
  3. Claim daily rewards from the official group.
  4. Trade only after inspecting — How to trade.
  5. Use the dungeon checker to pick the right map.

Events are bonuses, not the core loop. The core loop is: clear dungeon, get loot, upgrade, repeat. If you are waiting for an event to start playing, you are missing gold and XP every day.

Will old events return?

Voldex has not confirmed reruns. The 2x Gregg Materials event ran once. Mechanical Menace ran once. Cosmetic rotations are permanent. If a fan site says “EVENT COMING BACK” without citing the group wall or Discord, treat it as rumor.

Codes do not unlock events. The Codes Hub is empty. Do not click third-party links that promise event access — they want your session, not your gameplay.

When an event is live, the lobby will tell you. Until then, play the Guides Hub and ignore the speculation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Do events affect drop rates?

Some events double specific mechanics (like Gregg materials). Most events add cosmetics, not power boosts.

Are event abilities permanent?

If they enter your inventory, yes. Event shop abilities stay on your account after the event ends.

Will the 2x Gregg Materials event return?

Voldex has not confirmed a rerun. Stock up if it does — the 605-material ladder is the biggest beneficiary.

Do cosmetics from events affect gameplay?

No. Cosmetic items are visual only. They do not change damage, health, or drop rates.
