Quest Reborn Dungeon Quest Enchantments Guide
Talk to the Enchanter, spend gold, look pretty — but do not expect power.
Enchantments are cosmetic visual effects applied to your weapons and armor in Dungeon Quest. They change the particle trail, glow, and color scheme of your gear. They do not add stats, increase damage, or affect combat in any way. This page explains every enchantment type, where to get them, and why you should not confuse a gold wrap with a damage upgrade.
The Enchanter NPC
The Enchanter is a stationary NPC in the main lobby near the blacksmith. He handles all enchantment transactions. You bring your weapon or armor piece and gold, select an enchantment, and the visual effect is applied permanently until you replace it with another enchantment.
Enchanting costs scale with the item rarity you are enchanting. Higher rarity items cost more to enchant. The cost is paid in gold and is separate from the cosmetic price if the enchantment itself is a purchasable item.
Enchantment types
Aura enchants — circular particle effects around your character. These are the most visible and most purchased. Popular auras include the golden aura, void aura, and seasonal event auras that rotate with the shop.
Trail enchants — particle trails that follow your weapon swings. Each class has slightly different animation for trails. Warriors get blade trails, Mages get spell orbs. Trail enchants are applied per weapon.
Weapon enchants — color changes and glow effects on the weapon model itself. Some weapon enchants are locked behind event completion or high-level achievements.
Armor enchants — chest and leg armor visual upgrades. Less visible than auras or trails but they change the overall look of your loadout.
Title enchants — cosmetic titles that display above your head. These are the least common and often tied to difficult achievements.
What enchantments do not do
Enchantments are visual only. They will not:
- Increase your damage output
- Add bonus stats to weapons or armor
- Improve drop rates or luck
- Provide any combat advantage whatsoever
A gold-wrapped C-tier scythe with a premium aura enchant is still a C-tier scythe. The enchantment makes it look better. It does not make it hit harder.
How to spend gold wisely
The blacksmith upgrade path is where your gold goes for power: rarity upgrades, stat enhancements, and matching Physical or Spell Power pots. Enchantment gold is post-power budget — money spent after your gear is as strong as it can be.
Priority order for gold spending:
- Upgrade your best weapon and armor to maximum rarity
- Apply matching stat pots (Physical for Warrior, Spell Power for Mage)
- Use the skill planner to allocate skill points correctly
- Then spend remaining gold on cosmetics you like
Event and limited enchants
Some enchants are only available during specific events or for a limited time. The Abyssal Void launch brought void-themed enchants. Seasonal events bring holiday-themed auras. These rotations mean an enchant available this month may be gone next month.
If you see an enchant you want, buy it when it is available. Do not assume it will be in the shop next week.
VIP enchantment
The VIP enchantment is a special aura only accessible to players with an active VIP game pass. It is a persistent golden particle effect that marks you as a supporter. It does not provide any gameplay benefit — it is purely a visual status symbol.
Enchantment removal and replacement
You can replace an enchantment at any time by talking to the Enchanter again and selecting a new one. The old enchantment is lost. There is no refund.
To remove an enchantment without replacing it, select the “Remove enchantment” option. This strips the visual effect but leaves your base item intact.
Cosmetics versus power summary
Enchantments are cosmetics. They make your character look distinct. They do not make your character stronger. The only way to get stronger is through rarity upgrades, stat pots, skill point allocation, and actual better gear from Nightmare dungeons.
Run Hardcore Nightmare, upgrade your Voidspire or Effigy, then buy the aura you like best. The order matters.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Do enchantments add combat stats?
No. Enchantments are purely visual. They change how your gear looks, not how it performs.
Where is the Enchanter NPC?
In the main lobby, near the blacksmith. He handles all enchanting transactions.
What is the VIP enchantment?
A special aura for VIP game pass holders. It is purely cosmetic — a visual status symbol with no gameplay effect.
Can I remove an enchantment without replacing it?
Yes. Talk to the Enchanter and select the remove option. The old enchantment is lost with no refund.
Are limited-time enchants worth buying?
If you like the look, yes. But they are purely cosmetic — do not prioritize them over actual gear upgrades.
