Pets Guide

Pets are passive companions in Dungeon Quest that help you throughout your journey. Some cost gold, some cost Robux, and one is time-gated behind a game pass. None of them take damage from enemies. They are always active once equipped. This page covers every pet, what it does, and which one earns its slot.

Pet types at a glance

PetCostPrimary effect
Hound~300K goldPicks up dropped gold automatically
Imp~500K goldSteals one additional loot drop per kill
Fairy~800K goldAdds a third daily reward roll
Phoenix399 R$Revives you once per dungeon
Titan799 R$Periodic AoE damage pulse

The Hound — your first gold pet

The Hound is the starter gold pet. When gold piles spawn on the ground after a kill, the Hound automatically collects them without you running over each pile. In Nightmare runs where gold values are high, this saves seconds per room and keeps you moving with the party.

Hound prices scale with your level in gold. At low level the cost is lower, but the absolute number is small. At high level you are farming bigger piles anyway, so the Hound pays for itself faster. If you play with Hardcore enabled, you see the gold difference clearly between runs with and without the pet.

Buy the Hound early. It is the lowest-friction upgrade in the game.

The Imp — the loot multiplier

The Imp steals one extra loot drop from each enemy you kill. This means every kill has a chance to roll an additional item on top of your base drop. Extra Item game pass users get two extra rolls, and the Imp adds a third.

Imp pricing also scales with your character level. The steal chance is not 100% — it is a roll on the loot table. Over a full Nightmare run the extra drops add up, especially on bosses that drop multiple items.

The Imp is most valuable on accounts that are actively farming Nightmare dungeons and need every material and gear piece they can squeeze from a run.

The Fairy — daily reward amplifier

The Fairy adds a third roll to your Daily Playtime Rewards. Without it you get two item rolls per daily claim. With the Fairy you get three. If you also own the Extra Item game pass and are in the Dungeon Quest group, you can reach four rolls per daily claim.

Dailies are based on your highest playable dungeon. If you can clear Nightmare Abyssal Void, your dailies scale to that door. The Fairy makes each login more efficient.

This pet is best for players who log in daily and want maximum efficiency from the reward system.

The Phoenix — one revive per dungeon

The Phoenix revives you once per dungeon run when you hit zero health. It does not work in Hardcore mode where death is permanent. It does not work in Boss Raids. It triggers only in regular dungeon runs.

At 399 R$ this is the cheapest premium pet. For players who are still learning Nightmare mechanics or playing with less-optimal gear, the Phoenix buys one mistake per run. It is not a crutch for bad play, but it softens the learning curve.

The revive is automatic. You do not click anything. When your health hits zero the Phoenix brings you back at partial health.

The Titan — AoE damage pulse

The Titan fires a periodic AoE damage pulse that hits nearby enemies. The damage is modest but it is passive and continuous. Over a long dungeon run the total extra damage can equal several extra kills.

At 799 R$ this is the most expensive pet. Whether it is worth it depends on your clear speed goals. For farmers running the same dungeon dozens of times, the Titan adds incremental value that compounds over many runs.

Pet stacking and priority

You can equip one pet at a time. Choose based on your current goal:

  • Gold farming: Hound
  • Item farming: Imp
  • Daily efficiency: Fairy
  • Learning Nightmare: Phoenix
  • Speed running: Titan

Pets and the meta

Pets do not appear on the Weapons tier list or Armor tier list. They are quality-of-life tools, not power multipliers. A Voidspire Warrior with no pet still out-damages a C-tier player with a Titan.

That said, the Hound and Imp have the highest practical value per gold or Robux spent. The Fairy is a convenience. The Phoenix and Titan are comfort upgrades for specific playstyles.

Where to buy

All gold pets are purchased from the Merchant NPC in the main lobby. Robux pets are purchased from the in-game shop under the Pets tab. Prices are subject to rotation.

Do not buy a pet from a trader. Pets are account-bound and cannot be traded. Anyone offering to sell you a pet in Lobby 2 is running a scam.

Check the Merchant page for current inventory and rotation schedules.

Summary

The Hound pays for itself in gold efficiency. The Imp earns its slot on Nightmare farms. The Fairy is a daily-login amplifier. Phoenix and Titan are comfort purchases. None of them replace good gear, but the Hound and Imp have genuine farm value.

Run Hardcore Nightmare, use the Hound, collect dailies with the Fairy, and check the Updates Hub if the shop rotates a pet you have been waiting for.
